For example, you can explicitly search for keywords with high search volume and low competition to isolate the most promising keywords.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.seobility.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/filter-options.png\" alt=\"filter options\" width=\"888\" height=\"341\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-4318 contentimage\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.seobility.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/filter-options.png 888w, https:\/\/www.seobility.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/filter-options-768x295.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 888px) 100vw, 888px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Another approach could be to search for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seobility.net\/en\/wiki\/Keyword#Short-tail_keywords\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">short- and long-tail keywords<\/a> by setting the number of words. Or you can use the &#8220;Exclude keywords&#8221; tab to specify terms that are not relevant to your website and should not be included in the results. Etc., etc., etc. &#8230; As you can see, there are multiple ways of refining your results! <\/p>\n<p>Another useful feature: you can check <strong>Google\u2019s top 10 results for each keyword<\/strong> without leaving the tool:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.seobility.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/top-10-results.png\" alt=\"Google top 10 organic rankings\" width=\"1025\" height=\"635\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-4319 contentimage\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.seobility.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/top-10-results.png 1025w, https:\/\/www.seobility.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/top-10-results-768x476.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1025px) 100vw, 1025px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Here, you will also find <strong>important details such as the estimated monthly traffic of each URL, its domain rating, and the number of backlinks<\/strong> or referring domains. This will make it easier for you to assess the difficulty of achieving a top 10 ranking for the given keyword.<\/p>\n<p>By ticking the box in the last column, you can select individual keywords from the list and export them as CSV or add them to your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seobility.net\/en\/keywordmonitoring\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ranking Monitoring Dashboard in Seobility<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.seobility.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/add-keywords.png\" alt=\"how to add keywords to your Seobility project\" width=\"1027\" height=\"401\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-4320 contentimage\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.seobility.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/add-keywords.png 1027w, https:\/\/www.seobility.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/add-keywords-768x300.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1027px) 100vw, 1027px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>URL\/Domain<\/h3>\n<p>In the second section of the Keyword Research Tool, you can enter <strong>any URL or domain name to identify the keywords that this URL is ranking for on Google<\/strong> (in both organic and paid search results). This analysis lets you <strong>find your competitors\u2019 top traffic sources<\/strong> which you can then add to your own keyword set.<\/p>\n<p>(Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of all the search terms that a website is ranking for. We focus on the most important traffic sources here, so long-tail keywords may be underrepresented.)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.seobility.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/domain-analysis.png\" alt=\"domain analysis\" width=\"1025\" height=\"661\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-4321 contentimage\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.seobility.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/domain-analysis.png 1025w, https:\/\/www.seobility.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/domain-analysis-768x495.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1025px) 100vw, 1025px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For each keyword, you\u2019ll be shown the domain\u2019s ranking along with the estimated monthly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seobility.net\/en\/wiki\/Website_Traffic\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">traffic<\/a> that this keyword drives to the website. As in the \u201cRelated keywords\u201d section, you also have several filter options, which you can use to search for keywords that drive a lot of traffic to a competitor\u2019s site, for example.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.seobility.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/filter-options-2.png\" alt=\"how to isolate keywords with the highest traffic\" width=\"893\" height=\"445\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-4322 contentimage\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.seobility.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/filter-options-2.png 893w, https:\/\/www.seobility.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/filter-options-2-768x383.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 893px) 100vw, 893px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As in the first section, you can also analyze Google\u2019s top 10 for each keyword and easily add your preferred keywords to your Seobility project.<\/p>\n<h3>Competitor analysis<\/h3>\n<p>Besides searching for keywords using a focus keyword or a domain name, the Keyword Research Tool also lets you do a detailed competitor analysis. This way, you can <strong>compare your site\u2019s organic and paid rankings with up to two competitors<\/strong>. Just enter your own domain name and add your competitors as \u201cDomain A\u201d and \u201cDomain B\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.seobility.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/competitor-analysis.png\" alt=\"competitor analysis\" width=\"878\" height=\"588\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-4323 contentimage\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.seobility.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/competitor-analysis.png 878w, https:\/\/www.seobility.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/competitor-analysis-768x514.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 878px) 100vw, 878px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You also have to choose the type of analysis \u2013 Gap or Intersections.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Gap analysis<\/strong> will list <strong>all the keywords that your competitors are ranking for but you are not<\/strong>. This type of analysis is great for discovering untapped ranking opportunities for your website.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.seobility.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/gap-analysis.png\" alt=\"Gap analysis of keywords\" width=\"1029\" height=\"463\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-4324 contentimage\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.seobility.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/gap-analysis.png 1029w, https:\/\/www.seobility.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/gap-analysis-768x346.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1029px) 100vw, 1029px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When choosing <strong>intersections analysis<\/strong>, you\u2019ll get an overview of all the keywords that each of the domains entered is ranking for. This will show you <strong>where you\u2019re already ahead of your competitors and where there might be room for improvement<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Using various filter options, you can again narrow down the results and quickly add your keyword set to your Seobility project.<\/p>\n<h2 id='content-how-to-get-the-most-from-the-keyword-research-tool'>How to get the most from the Keyword Research Tool<\/h2>\n<p>Whether you\u2019re working on a content plan for your website or just looking for topic ideas \u2013 the Keyword Research Tool is perfect for <strong>finding attractive keywords to target with new or existing content on your website<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Using the search for related keywords, you can quickly create a broad and diverse keyword set. Then, you can complement this list with your competitors\u2019 traffic sources, which you can find using the URL\/Domain search and the Competitor Analysis.
